Backend Support plugin

This plugin adds backed-end support ticket system features to OctoberCMS.

So you make project for your client and installed it on production server. Congratulations!

Now comes the time for support this project. This plugin will allow your client to send your support team tickets about bugs, qustions, new features requests, etc.

Keep all client reports/messages about project in one place. No more need to search your email box for houndreds emails send by your client.

Features

  • Manage support tickets inside CMS
  • Custom tickets types and statuses
  • Built in messaging system for ticket

Important note: This plugin is and will be only for backend usage. I am not going to connect RainLab.User plugin and make it for frontend users.

Usage

After installation plugin will register backend Support menu position. From there you will be able to manage support tickes, manage ticket statuses and types.

Settings

Plugin ships with a settings page. Go to Settings and you will see a menu item Settings listed under Support section. From there you can manage your support team, that will be notified when client create new support ticket or add new reply.

Permissions

For your client account you should create/update his group permissions. I recommend you to only allow for Manage tickets permission for your clients and deny other support permissions.

Mail templates

Plugin ships with three mail templates views. You can always modify those templates in Settings -> Mail -> Mail Templates.

New ticket email - this email will be send to all support team members, when client create new ticket.

New reply message email - this email will be send to all support team members or ticket owner. It depends who sends reply.

Ticket was closed email - this email will be send to ticket owner when support team close ticket.

Very nice plugin to quickly add simple project ticketing to a site that you are developing. It keeps all tickets right there in the site's own backend. This is great for clients who work with different developers over the years and want to log what work has been done on a site. Thanks!

Thanks for this plugin! It makes it easy to track the wishes/bug reports for the client to me as the developer

Very good plugin. It makes it easy for everyone in the developer team to report and keep track of issues width the site. Easy configuration and simple to use.

Used on several projects. Not the replacement for some fully-functional task trackers but solves it's task to make simple support boards. Renatio, you can mark that unreasonable review as inappropriate and it will be removed.

Would find useful if there was an option to make it available to users on the front end. :(

    Dear customer,

can you read the title of this plugin?

It says Backend Support, not Frontend Support and not User Support. The Backend word is the key here.

Another note is on plugin page in Details tab:

Important note: This plugin is and will be only for backend usage. I am not going to connect RainLab.User plugin and make it for frontend users.

There is also a forum product support topic about this: https://octobercms.com/plugin/support/renatio-support/connecting-to-front-end-users

If you spend a little of your precious time to research instead of writing this silly review, everything should be clear here.

I spend my free time for this plugin and give it for all of you guys for free. If you don't like how this plugin works than open support topic or write it yourself.

On behalf October community I encourage you to think about your future actions.

There is already a frontend solution that you can buy: https://octobercms.com/plugin/responsiv-support

    Cheers!!!
